VirtualDub è un programma gratuito utilissimo per effettuare piccoli interventi di video-editing.
VirtualDub non ha le potenzialità dei programmi a pagamento come i prodotti dalla Pinnacle o dalla Adobe, ma per piccoli lavori di ritocco ed editing, e soprattutto per la compressione dei video, è impareggiabile.
Molto utile se vogliamo ad esempio togliere i titoli di coda da un video o ridurre le dimensioni per adattarlo ad un particolare supporto (cd o dvd).
